Pathfinder encourages and practises a culture of ‘Student Led Conferences’. This practice is the biggest breakthrough in communicating about student’s achievement. Students are prepared over an extended period to tell the story of their success with the help of a data note book and evaluation report card.
They themselves take initiative to tell parents about their aims, project work, test marks, academic improvement, reading goals and the planning for future developments.
It is an empowering and enriching experience for students and parents alike. It creates a sense of ownership in students and a sense of pride in parents to see their children take initiative to showcase their own development. Student Led conferences have been successful as they:
